I’ve been utilizing a certain online auction site which shall remain nameless (not Feebay), and I apparently ticked them off by including a url in a post I made. They sent me a rather nasty message about it, and wanted me to ‘agree’ to fork over $5 if I violated said policy again.
Really not gonna happen.
So I perused the TOS I “signed” when I registered for the service and found no mention of this “If you break one of our rules, we’ll suspend your account, then make you pay if you screw up a second time” stipulation. So I sent a message to their Help desk asking them to show me where in the TOS I had agreed to this.
Some time later, I recieved an email saying my account had been reinstated “as a courtesy”.
Right. Can we say “Potential lawsuit”?
